“Cross Streets” Ruins in northeast West Market
2016/05/19

The plane of the West Market site shaped like a rectangle which was 1,031m long from north to south and 927m wide from east to west, embedded 1.8-2.5m under the surface. There were each two parallel streets from north to south and east to west in the market and formed the East, West, North and South Streets. The four streets crossed like a “#” shape. The width of the streets was about 16m. The four crossed streets divided the entire West Market into nine rectangle blocks; each block faced the street, all kinds of shops and thousand of merchants spread in the market.
